Dumpster Rental FAQs

Detailed, practical answers about wheeled dumpsters, rubber wheel equipment, sizes, pricing, delivery and placement.

Frequently Asked Questions

These answers cover the questions customers ask most often. Your exact order still depends on the project address, material and available equipment, so contact us when a load includes anything unusual.

What is a wheeled dumpster?

A wheeled dumpster is an open-top cleanup container integrated with a trailer and supported by rubber tires during normal placement. It provides more capacity than curbside carts and stays near the project until scheduled pickup. Customers may also hear it called a rubber wheel, rubber tire or trailer dumpster.

Is a wheeled dumpster the same as a rubber wheel dumpster?

Yes. Those phrases generally describe the same equipment style. The rubber tires support the trailer instead of a separate steel roll off box being lowered directly onto the placement surface.

Are these dumpsters driveway safe?

They are commonly chosen for residential driveways because the equipment remains tire supported. “Driveway safe” does not guarantee that every surface is risk free; existing cracks, hot asphalt, drainage, slope, access and loaded weight still matter. Discuss surface concerns before delivery.

What sizes are available?

We offer 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 yard wheeled dumpsters. Smaller sizes suit focused cleanouts and controlled dense loads, while larger sizes provide more room for furniture, multi-room projects and bulky renovation debris. Material weight can be more important than volume.

How much does each dumpster cost?

The 5 yard dumpster is $305, the 10 yard is $325, the 15 yard is $370, the 20 yard is $400 and the 30 yard is $495. These are the listed rental prices, not “starting at” prices. Extra days, specialty items or an unusual disposal load may add charges when applicable.

What does the rental price include?

The price includes delivery, pickup and the stated rental period for accepted debris where service is available. The 5 yard includes five days; the other sizes include seven days. Your address, material and delivery details must be confirmed before scheduling.

How much is an extra day?

Additional rental time is $50 per day. Request an extension before the scheduled pickup because equipment and route availability may affect whether it can remain longer.

What can go in a wheeled dumpster?

Many cleanouts include furniture, household junk, wood, cabinets, drywall, flooring and ordinary remodeling material. Tell us about the complete load before delivery because disposal rules and weight can affect what is accepted.

What items need advance approval?

Roofing shingles, mattresses, appliances, tires, plaster, tile, dirt, concrete, brick and other dense or specialty materials must be discussed first. The load may require a particular size, separated material or an additional charge. Never assume an unusual item is accepted simply because it fits.

What cannot go in the dumpster?

Do not load paint, chemicals, solvents, fuel, oil, propane cylinders, batteries, asbestos, medical waste, liquids or other hazardous and regulated material. Leave an uncertain item out and ask before loading it. Michigan EGLE offers household disposal guidance for materials that need another destination.

Can I load shingles or a mattress?

Roofing shingles can often be accepted after the weight and amount are reviewed; shingles in the 5 yard dumpster have an additional charge. Mattresses may also carry an additional charge. Disclose both before delivery so the correct price and loading instructions can be confirmed.

Do I need a permit?

Private-property placement often does not require a dumpster permit, but local requirements vary. A street, alley, sidewalk or public right of way may require municipal approval. The customer is responsible for securing permission before delivery.

How should I prepare for delivery?

Clear vehicles, portable hoops and other obstacles from the placement area and approach. Mention gates, narrow drives, slopes, overhead wires, low branches, alleys and existing pavement concerns. Keep the same access open when pickup is due.

Can I move the dumpster after delivery?

No. Do not tow, uncouple, reposition or alter the trailer, and do not tamper with its safety equipment. Call us if the placement creates a problem so the situation can be reviewed safely.

Do you provide roll off dumpsters?

Our direct service uses wheeled dumpsters and rubber wheel dumpsters. If traditional ground set equipment is a better fit, open your city page for one or two local independent roll off companies. Confirm pricing, terms and current availability with the selected provider.

How do I arrange pickup?

Call 313-246-8880 when loading is complete or when the scheduled pickup needs confirmation. Keep debris below the top edge, remove obstacles and make sure the approach is accessible. Extra time should be requested before the rental period ends.

Where do you provide service?

We are based in Detroit and serve the listed Southeast Michigan communities according to current routes and equipment availability. Enter your city or ZIP when contacting us so delivery can be checked for the exact address. Our coverage will broaden as reliable capacity is established in additional markets.
